Under the direction of Kris Muir and Richard Johnson, Integrated Business Experience was about "learning business by doing business." Split into groups of eight, we had to start and close a business within 16 week and all profits made (after paying back a loan) were donated to a non-profit of our choosing.

Our team created Flourish, a jewelry company designed to spread positivity and act as a remind to "bloom where you're planted." All our profits were donated to support mental health and suicide prevention in youth.

Through this process, we learned the ins-and-outs of creating a business from scratch. We started with market research, continued by making a loan pitch to a bank, spoke at several organizations at Texas A&M and made several presentations to May Business School faculty, and in the end paid off our loan and were able to donate over $1,200 to The Sandbox at Madeline's Place!
